CORRECTION to Feb. 14 story on Mexican wolves

EDS: Clients who used the Cronkite News story slugged BC-CNS-Mexican Wolf that moved Tuesday, Feb. 14, under an ALPINE dateline are asked to run the following correction. The errors occurred in captions and in the fourth and 19th grafs, and in the 17th graf, where the word “lawsuit” incorrectly said “losses.”

A corrected version of the story has been posted here

ALPINE – A Jan. 14 story about a Mexican wolf program included a misquoted word from Roz Switzer, a member of the women-led grassroots organization Great Old Broads for Wilderness. “We’ve had no meaningful progress on Mexican wolf recovery without lawsuits,” she said. The title for Jim Devos also was inaccurate. Devos works for Arizona Game and Fish. In photo captions, names for two Arizona Game and Fish Department employees were inaccurate. Bailey Dilgard carried the wolf from a helicopter, and Annie Barkan examined wolf inside the Arizona Game and Fish facility in Alpine.
