WASHINGTON – A June 20 Cronkite News story about former Arizona Rep. Gabby Giffords’ call for a Senate vote on a gun background-checks bill incorrectly reported the results of the largely partisan House vote on the measure in February. Eight Republicans voted for the measure then and two Democrats opposed it.
