SCOTTSDALE – For all the entertainment celebrities provided during Day 3 of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, an undercurrent of concern was present, too, about rain that could reveal itself this weekend.

Among the pro athletes that participated in Wednesday’s Annexus Pro-Am was Diamondbacks pitcher Archie Bradley with his caddie and like-bearded father, Charles, by his side. Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo was there, too, celebrating a new contract extension.

Concern remains about weather this weekend, especially for Saturday – always the most heavily attended day – when a 40 percent chance of showers is predicted during the day, reports the National Weather Service, and 90 percent at night.

Competition starts Thursday with the first group teeing of at 9:20 am.
