Here is the percentage of those surveyed by Northern Arizona University’s Social Research Laboratory who reported buying lottery tickets in Arizona in the past year, followed by results from two previous years:

_ 2008: 55 percent

_ 2004: 45 percent

_ 2003: 49 percent
