Former police officer Jay Wu sentencing
Cronkite News was the pool photographer at Friday’s sentencing of former Salt River Police Department officer Jay Wu. He pled guilty in June after his 2016 arrest on charges of kidnapping and sexual abusing a female suspect in his custody. Wu was sentenced in Maricopa County Superior Court on Friday to six months in jail, lifetime probation and registration on the sex offender registry.
