CORRECTION to Sept. 22 story on basketball overseas

EDS: Clients who used an undatelined Cronkite News story slugged Sports-Basketball Borders that moved Thursday, Sept. 22, are asked to use the following correction. The errors occurred in the fifth and 19th grafs of the original story. A corrected version of the story has been posted here.

A Sept. 22 Cronkite News story about the NBA’s efforts to expand basketball overseas may have left an incorrect impression about the scope and locations of some programs involved in that effort. Basketball Without Borders has held 14 camps in Africa, one this summer in Angola. And the Jr. NBA program, which operates in 35 countries, is just one of the programs run by the NBA that reached 12 million youth in the last year.
