PENALTIES FOR EXTREME DUI UNDER ARIZONA LAW

Arizona law carries these penalties for extreme DUI:
First Offense:
_ For a blood-alcohol level from 0.15-to 0.199: 30 days in jail, use of ignition interlock device for one year; minimum fine of $2,500.
_ For a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 and above: 45 days in jail; use of ignition interlock device for 18 months; minimum fine of $2,750.
Second Offense:
_ For a blood-alcohol level from 0.15-to 0.199: 120 days in jail; use of ignition interlock device for one year; minimum fine of $3,250.
_ For a blood-alcohol level of 0.20 and above: 180 days in jail; use of ignition interlock device for two years; minimum fine of $3,750.
