The Arizona English Language Learners Task Force English model requires:

_ Students are grouped according to the level of English proficiency.
_ Students are kept out of regular classes during English instruction.
_ Students receive four hours of English language instruction in listening, speaking, writing and reading during the first year.
_ Students pass tests on all four areas of instruction before exiting the program.
