According to Lamda Legal, the following states have laws dealing with workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity or expression:
Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity or Expression:
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington.
Sexual Orientation Only:
Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Wisconsin.
