State laws against cell phone use while driving

Here are states with laws restricting cell phone use while driving:

_ Require hands-free devices while using cell phones: California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Oregon and Washington plus the District of Columbia.

_ Prohibit bus drivers from using cell phones: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia plus the District of Columbia.

_ Ban text messaging behind the wheel: Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Conneticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia and Washington plus the District of Columbia.
