Here are October 2009 voter-registration figures reported by the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office:

_ Republican: 1,132,817, 36.3 percent.
_ Democrat: 1,041,415, 33.4 percent.
_ Independent or Non-recognized Party: 915,981, 29.4 percent.
_ Libertarian: 24,028, 0.8 percent.
_ Green: 4,237, 0.1 percent

_ Statewide Total: 3,118,478.
