_ Committee Assignments: Natural Resources and Rural Affairs; Water and Energy (vice-chairman).
_ Previous or Current Elected Offices: Former Chairman, Cochise County Republican Committee; former Republican precinct committeeman, state committeeman and state executive committeeman.
_ Highlights of Community Involvement: Served 10 years in the U.S. Army and Illinois and Arizona national guards.
_ Why He Ran: “I have not been happy with the direction our state’s been going for a long time. I realized that I could make a change.”
_ His Focus: “Securing our border has got to be first, and it’s not just illegal immigrants _ it’s drugs.”
_ A Bill: HCR 2029 would authorize a ballot measure that would require initiatives involving the use of tax dollars to be reauthorized by voters after eight years.
