CORRECTION to Nov. 16 story on AI wastewater monitoring

EDS: Clients who used the Cronkite News story slugged BC-CNS-AI Wastewater that moved Thursday, Nov. 16, under a PHOENIX dateline are asked to run the following correction. The errors occurred in the ninth and 11th grafs of the text and also in the accompanying video. A corrected version of the story has been posted here.

PHOENIX – A Nov. 16 Cronkite News story about wastewater monitoring using artificial intelligence misstated how Phoenix’s wastewater is treated and how much of it is recycled. After undergoing treatment and testing, 97% of Phoenix’s wastewater is recycled and used for irrigation, cooling for the Palo Verde Generating Station, replenishing water resources underground, contributing to the Tres Rio Wetlands.
