_ Legislative District: No. 10, covering north Phoenix and east Glendale.
_ Committee Assignments: Banking and Insurance (vice chairman), Environment, Water and Energy.
_ Previous or Current Elected Offices: Arizona House of Representatives, 2003-2007.
_ Highlights of Community Involvement: Precinct committeeman,
national convention delegate, soccer and basketball coach.
_ Why He Ran: “It was necessary, I believe, because of the trends that took place two years ago, to re-establish a pure Republican majority down here instead of a very thin one.”
_ His focus: “Probably health and insurance. I was the Health chair before I left, and I serve as the vice chairman of the Insurance Committee under a fine committee chairman, Nancy McLain (R-Bullhead City).”
_ Legislation: Introduced HB 2446, which would prevent a nursing care institution from charging a patient or patient’s health insurance provider for procedures taken to correct a mistake made by the nursing care institution.
