PHOENIX – A March 4 Cronkite News story on Arizona bills that could affect transgender youth incorrectly stated the status of an amendment to HB 2495, which would ban “sexually explicit materials” from school classrooms. The House bill was amended to remove “homosexuality” from the definition of sexual conduct and does not specifically target gender identity or sexual orientation.
