Types of ballots counted after election day

Here are the two types of ballots that will have most election offices around Arizona counting after election day:
EARLY BALLOTS
Voters who don’t return their ballots by mail can take them to a polling place on election day. These ballots must be hand-verified, a time-consuming process.
PROVISIONAL BALLOTS
Involves people whose addresses and other information must be verified and those who can’t present valid identification at polling places. These must be verified by county recorders’ offices.
